This and That and More of This (halloween)

We went outside and look who we ran into..a witch stirring her pot of potion..This was quite the project last night, Jerry cut this witch out a couple of years ago, we got the pattern from Family Fun and blew it up so it was life size. but we could never quite get the light behind it right, but I think we finally mastered it this year..she looks spooky, It startles me when I forget she is there..Who knows what she's cooking up, I think I'll put her to work as I have lots of cooking to do today and tomorrow..Remember that Halloween party I have been stressing over..yea that one!
Look at the joy on Josh's face, There are a few things that drive me CRAZY, one of them being doing things last min. like the morning of, last night he wasn't dressing up for the Halloween parade at school, I mean he's the old one at school now, you know.. but I should have known this morning he'd change his mind..needless to say we pulled this together in 20 min. with many costume changes, but I think he looks great he's a Scottish golfer..if you were wondering!
And then there's this group of cute girls..Oh the fun of collage! Lex loves her roommates and they know how to have fun..this is one of many Halloween parties they are attending this weekend..(there was a cute picture of her and her cute guy friend but she wouldn't let me post it, maybe someday soon..) (see lex I said guy friend not boyfriend..your welcome)
I have been stressing on how to display those millions of cupcakes I have been making and not spending a fortune on what they want for big cupcake stands..so I bought some cake rounds from a supply store in 3 different sizes, big, med, little and then couldn't find the right size rounds to seperate the rounds..they were either not tall enough or to wide, I tried to find those cake dummies they use for fake wedding cakes, but there is not alot of specility baking stores here, I got most the stuff when I was back in Utah..they have everything there..so when I was on my search I found these boarder rounds and covered them in scrapbook paper, Jerry wanted to use something more stable and durable but it would have taken forever as he likes to research the best way, I told him it didn't have to withstand a Tornado, just the wedding..he asked if he was fired form this project..yes but not fired from being my slave for other things:0)
I bought some wrapping paper and mod podged it to the rounds for durability and sprayed them with sealer so I can wipe them off, I made cupcake paper wraps for each cupcake so that is what is on the rounds (minus the cupcakes) I hope that it all makes sense..I know there is a better way and if you have a better way, please, please share..sometimes I spend way to much time worrying about things that don't matter in the end..but I do like the finished project and think it will work great..ok I'm done now..sorry for long post!
