You know how you have nightmares and you wake up shaking and so happy it was just a dream, well I had one of them but I didn't get to wake up from it, yesterday I did a lot to get ready for the Halloween party I was catering, then went off to the movie "Micheal Jackson" (liked it, he is so talented but weird, but talented) and then came home to get Josh and go to dinner, but decided to check messages and heard "Hi this is Tina, (the hostess of the Halloween party) its 8pm and I'm a little concerned the food isn't here" all blood left my body..I was to numb to even cry, min.s later I got a call from Crystal saying Tina just text me and wants to know where the food is (Tina is a long time client of Crystals, and she got me this job) when I told Crystal the mix up on days, there was silence on the other end, followed by "mom please tell me your kidding" with her own panicked voice. By this time I can't get a hold of Tina as her line is busy so I assigned Crystal to text her back and let her know the mix up and Jerry will be bringing the first batch over that I thankfully had already put together, but I had chicken wings that needed to cook for a couple hours, Long story short, My son in law and Cass's boyfriend came to help, along with Josh, Jerry did the running back and forth to Tinas house, with food, the last batch was delivered at 10pm. I guess the party was just getting going, Tina was great about it, I was sick about it, and still am..after reviewing all her emails, none of them say the 30th, and I assumed Halloween Party meant Halloween, such a bad mix up and I learned to always check and recheck on dates and times..I think I just did my first free job..another weird thing I have the same quilt that is on the picture above I googled under nightmares, I got it at a thrift store for 10 dollars..its beautiful and all hand quilted..I wonder if its the same quilt..strange things are happening this Halloween!

That is the scariest story I have ever heard.
I don't know how you survived.
Poor you!!! That sounds horrible. Are you able to relax some today?
Happens to the best of us. In fact it just did!
I'm glad it worked out. What a way to start out! Whatever doesn't kill you, makes you stronger. Keep smiling!
Oh, I am so sorry! That is a nightmare! I'm so glad everything worked out in the end. What a bummer that you planned and planned and then didn't get to enjoy the satisfaction of seeing everything fall into place perfectly! How frustrating!
I'm sure your food was a hit though and you amaze me with a talent. What a blessing that you were so prepared in advance and had everything already made and ready to go...except the chicken wings.
Are you serious you are not getting paid??????
Yes, thank you all, I did survive it and learned a lot of valuable lessons..thats what life is..I just have to learn the hard way most the time..the hostess did write me a sweet note, letting me know all was well...I did take off a small amount but she is very willing to pay me the remainder owed, so that was good news! Thanks...
Talk about learning the hard way....I understand that! What a sweet hostess...you deserve all the understanding in the world...you are a sweetheart! I am so sorry that happened to you. That must have been awful. Well, now it can only get better from here. Wishing you all the very best in your business.
