I love how different but so alike we all are and how everyone can come together, love each other, and accept each other. I am most thankful and grateful(do those two words mean the same thing?) for my Family and Friends, the love we each share, and no matter what, are ALWAYS there for each other..Have a Happy Thanksgiving one and all..(can I use each other any more?)

Panic attack
First off look how cute these little gingerbread cookies are from Trader Joes..and they are really good too, not to spicy, just a touch of ginger or is that nutmeg?..wouldn't these be fun in a little cellophane bag for a small gift or a clear pretty jar..
I am a huge Advent Calendar kind of Gal, they just remind me of when I was little..and the excitement of opening something each day, I love the paper chains too, just the counting down till Christmas is exciting..so I picked up a few of these at Trader Joes, for just a dollar..I know they are everywhere though..what a fun little gift for some wee one on Dec. 1st..or for yourself..or for me;)Sunday, November 22, 2009
My weekend in a Nutshell...key word Nut..Because it was a little crazy..
Went and saw THE movie of the year..Loved it..at first I was disappointed but by the end I was happy and still a fan(a Jacob fan, that is)..we got there a hour early and walked right in (unlike last year) sat right dab in the middle..a whole group of Young Men sat behind us and entertained us through out, they were more fun then the movie..I shared my smuggled candy with one..he said "only a mom would come prepared with candy in her purse" you got it, I am a mom prepared!..and he loved our "bloody drink" our purses where full coming in, empty coming out, I'm a outlaw like that.. Why does this movie turn me into a teenager? But by the looks of who was in the theater there were a few of us "teenage moms (and dads)".. Great time..thanks Bonnie, Cass, and Crystal..and the mega burgers and huge onion rings after where the icing on the cake..or the rock in the stomach...after all the junk in the movie it might not have been a good choice for me..But still Good!
Look Blood water only has 2 calories, its a good thing because look at all the other goodness. (the first two labels are whiter because I think I used up all the black ink on the other two, don't tell Jerry..)
Saturday was a bit crazy and I think Big J is now convinced we need a fridge outside too, because its hard to make a lot of things in advance because I don't have the space to put them in the fridge so the morning of was again crazy and poor little J and Big J (changing their names to protect the innocent) were in the middle of my madness, but its done and it was nice and it is done..and it was nice..and it is done..oh sorry I said that a few to many times, but it is done..Lets just say it wasn't my favorite event..
AND THE BIGGEST NEWS AND MOST EXCITING, THIS SWEET GIRL IS ON HER WAY HOME AS I TYPE..WE NEED LEXIS HAPPINESS AROUND, THERE'S SOME SAD HEARTS AROUND HERE RIGHT NOW...BUT SHE WILL BRING IN SUNSHINE FOR THOSE THAT HURT..SO WELCOME HOME SUNSHINE..

My next gig..thanks smartypants..;)
Remember my disaster with my Halloween Party, if you don't remember go here..well she was a brave lady and asked me to do a Baby Shower for her daughter in law..I needed a center piece and I wanted to leave a gift for the Mother to be, so I found this tutorial on Diaper cakes here and decided to give it a try.. Guess what, it was super duper easy..and very inexpensive, I think I spent a total of $8..you could use what supplies you have on hand and it would even be cheaper, I bought the size 1 diapers at walmart for under $6,
I used the Pink Bordettes for the bottom of ribbon and then added what ribbon I already had, but bought at walmart, the polka dot one came from costco last spring.. I sewed it together, you don't have to sew it, use hot glue, I just thought it looked better sewed..I have 3 sewing machines right now, mine, cassie's, alexies and they all gave me problems..finally got Lexies to work long enough to finish the project..I was ready to throw all of them in the trash..but I counted to 3..I attached them in the back with straight pins, the ones with the colored balls on top..I put a big flower on top but you could put a cute stuffed animal on top or something more festive, which I might do, I'm headed to my favorite store, the dollar Tree..to see what they have.
Here's the supplies, I loved that she used a bottle of cider for the base, what a great idea (she used Champagne, I like Cider better;)..The Host also wants party favors, so I will post them with the directions when i get them finished..I am having so much fun.. I'm feeling tons better today..YEA..Have fun..Stay Healthy..Smile..

Look what I got to do!
Let me introduce you to my sweet niece (daughter to my sweet niece, confused?) Layla you can see more of her over here well any who, I got to watch her a few weeks ago and she wanted nothing and I mean nothing to do with me, I couldn't look at her with out tears (hers not mine) and finally had to take her back to her Grandma's (my sister-in-law)..now I did Preschool for many years and I can win most kids over, she wanted nothing to do with my bribery and silly dances..I would stand on my head for her if she wanted me too, but nothing worked..(I mean look how cute that sweet pea is, who wouldn't)
But as you can see this time was different, I think mostly because her sweet little cousin my cutie pie nephew (son to my cutie pie niece, confused?) came to help his Auntie M win her over and IT WORKED, I mean he already knows I will stand on my head to make him happy, so she thought I must be okay if Issac loves me, look, no tears and she's playing the Wii, or at least she thinks she is, my house got ransacked and I LOVED every min..
Here Issac is showing Layla how to play the Wii for real, all she wants is the controller in his hand and as you can see she is on a mission to get it (he's so sweet, he gave it to her, but just for a min.) its been a long time since I got to go on a nature walk, roll in the leaves, look up at airplanes, and eat Kraft Mac and Cheese, it was a great day ...Come back soon you two!
